Truckee
This mountain town attracts many because of its convenience to Interstate 80, the Bay Area, and Reno, as well as the close proximity to a plethora of ski areas. It is known as the gateway to the North Shore of Tahoe. Downtown Truckee is a great place to walk, have a bite to eat, and browse the many shops.
There are many new subdivisions being built in the Truckee area and the town is seeing the largest growth in the Sierra Nevada region.
