North Lake Tahoe

Includes Carnelian Bay, Agate Bay, Tahoe Vista, and Kings Beach. Fabulous recreation with a mountain town feel and a close proximity to many ski areas. Kings Beach is known as the banana Belt of the North Shore, this town basks in sun and has great public beaches. Featuring vibrant shops and restaurants and a fun place for locals and tourists to hang out. The town was named after Joe King, a card shark who won the town after a poker game with the well-known Tahoe eccentric- George Whittel. Carnelian Bay, Tahoe Vista, and Agate Bay are communities scattered along Highway 28 that each have a unique feel and hiking and biking out your back door as well as great places to boat with several boat ramps for easy access.
