Sugar Pine Point State Park
Located 10 miles south of Tahoe City on the West Shore in Tahoma, Sugar Pine Point has more than 2,000 acres of conifer forest. There is a swimming beach with a pier and a 175 site campground as well as hiking and biking for every level. The General Creek loop is an easy and scenic route with a wide trail. Home of the historical Ehrman Mansion.

D.L. Bliss State Park
Continue South on Highway 89 towards Emerald Bay. A fabulous place to camp and enjoy the sandy beaches and watch as people jump into Lake Tahoe from the rocks and cliffs above. Located at the end of Bristlecone Avenue, off Lake Forest Road, this park offers great views and picnic tables. A popular spot for swimming and watching the 4th of July fireworks.

Skylandia Park and Beach
Skylandia is a 24-acre park located on Lake Forest Road northeast of Tahoe City. Along with a beach, pier, and swimming area, the park provides bike trails, hiking trails, and picnicking.

Camp Richardson
Nestled amongst the pines and located along Lake Tahoe’s longest stretch of sandy beaches, Historic Camp Richardson Resort is the closest to Emerald Bay, as well as Desolation Wilderness.
